THE PHILOSOPHY OF "HEALING SPIRIT"

The image you see at the top of the page represents to me an important part of what it means to be human.

Sioux leader "Sitting Bull" Thathanka Iyotanke sits with his extended family, holding the pipe of peace in his hand.

To me, he was a great leader who brought many tribes together, and did his best to protect them from harm.

Whatever you may think about the subsequent bloodshed between Native Indians and "White Men"  this image to me represents his essence - a family man who wished no harm to anyone.

 The therapy I offer engages with the highest potential of each unique human being to be happy, healthy and productive in their lives, in everyone's best interests.

It reflects my own sense of equality and justice

Traditionally, strength might have been expressed via the male principle, love and vulnerability through the female.

But, in my view, each unique person has both potentials within them, expressed in a balance which only they possess, whatever their gender orientation.

Separation and division is arbitrary and unhelpful - male and female, both literally and metaphorically, are an expression of both, undivided and complete.

This does not mean that the physically male and female cannot nourish and support each other - far from it - but it is the uniqueness and diversity of each individual that I espouse in all my work. and the full range of gender identities and practices.
