I was born longer ago than I care to remember, to a Yorkshire father and a Southern mother.

I have a sense that I remember my arrival in this world, but I have no understanding or concern whether this is literally true. 

It was only upon the realisation that my mother was a vulnerable and mortal human being just like the rest of us,

that I began to break free from my conditioning to discover my own true strength and capability.

In short, I chose to commit my life to my own growth and emotional evolution, and though at points there was pain, it was simply an expression of all that had been locked inside me for so many years.

It was, and is, the greatest possible liberation, and it is to this journey, for yourself, that I now invite you, with the support and resources of professional therapy and personal experience.

I regard each person as unique, with a valid life experience which has helped them to survive.

But there is so much more to life than mere survival, and you will be invited to explore it's riches for yourself, in a manner and speed of your own choosing.

You are the only one who knows the full extent of your own truth, which is also the source of your own healing.

I will end by saying  this:

It is, and I suspect will always remain, the profoundest privilege of my life to conjoin with others in an exploration of their inner world, in a structure which provides safety and support for whatever arises.

Destructive anger is not acceptable, but there are many ways in which this powerful and necessary emotion can be safely expressed. That can also be a valid part of your journey.

Let the celebrations commence!
